Meet jennie whitaker
Women & Men's Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Introducing Jennie
Throughout my professional career, over 20 years in public hospitals, and 6 years in Private practice, I have maintained a love for working with Women’s Health issues, and been able to incorporate this within my other areas of clinical practice. This has included pre and postnatal education and clinical management (starting from early in my career), and pelvic floor management with women of all ages.
In recent years I have been fortunate to be able to follow my passion for Women’s Health and expand my knowledge and skills in this specialized area.
Learning is a lifelong process and I believe keeping abreast of latest research and developments in this evolving area is essential to delivering a quality service in Women’s Health. Recent courses and clinical and research updates I have undertaken have covered a wide range of pelvic conditions, as well as breast conditions, and education and exercise management. I’ve recently added Advanced Pelvic Floor Mgt courses, including Stress Urinary Incontinence and Prolapse of Pelvic Organs, as well as Pre and Postnatal Pilates to my skillset.
Apart from Physiotherapy, I am married with 2 grown sons. I love to travel with them and indulge in the scenery, history and culture of overseas countries, as well as Australia. I do confess that I take rather too many photos at these times, some of which are displayed in scrapbooks to help remember these experiences.
